Description
A delightful and quick dish featuring linguine and fresh crabmeat in a buttery garlic sauce, perfect for family gatherings or casual dinners.
Ingredients
- Linguine
- Fresh crabmeat (lump preferred)
- Garlic
- Olive oil (or butter)
- White wine (dry variety)
- Fresh parsley
- Chives (optional)
- Lemon juice
Instructions
- Cook the Linguine: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve about a cup of the pasta water, then drain.
- Sauté the Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add Wine to the Pan: Pour in the white wine and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Incorporate the Crab: Gently fold in the crabmeat into the skillet.
- Combine with Linguine: Add the drained linguine into the skillet, tossing it together with reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Finish with Herbs and Lemon: Sprinkle in fresh herbs and lemon juice, tossing to combine. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve Immediately: Plate and drizzle with extra olive oil.
Notes
For best results, avoid overcooking the crab. Serve with a fresh garden salad and a crisp Sauvignon Blanc for a complete meal.
