Description
A quick and elegant dish featuring fresh crab, garlic, and linguine that transports you to cherished moments with every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz dried linguine
- 8 oz fresh lump crab meat
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 shallots, diced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley or basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and add the linguine. Cook according to package instructions until al dente and reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and add minced garlic and diced shallots. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the white wine, scraping the skillet to deglaze and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the butter and stir until melted, then gently fold in the crab meat. Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the cooked linguine into the skillet, adding a little reserved pasta water as needed to create a creamy sauce.
- Remove from heat and toss in the fresh herbs. Serve warm, garnished with additional herbs if desired.
Notes
Feel free to add cherry tomatoes or a hint of red pepper flakes for additional flavor. Serve with a side salad or sautéed green beans for a complete meal.
