Description
A simple yet impressive dish that combines sweet crab meat with buttery linguine and aromatic garlic, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a dinner party.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz linguine
- 8 oz fresh lump crab meat
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
- Gently fold in the fresh crab meat, warming it through for about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the white wine, scraping up any brown bits from the skillet. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to combine everything.
- Remove from heat and add lemon juice, parsley, basil, and optional red pepper flakes. Toss again gently.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra herbs or olive oil.
Notes
Always taste as you go to adjust seasoning. Save a bit of pasta water to help with sauce consistency if needed.
