Description

A simple yet impressive dish that combines sweet crab meat with buttery linguine and aromatic garlic, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a dinner party.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz linguine
  • 8 oz fresh lump crab meat
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Gently fold in the fresh crab meat, warming it through for about 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the white wine, scraping up any brown bits from the skillet. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to combine everything.
  6. Remove from heat and add lemon juice, parsley, basil, and optional red pepper flakes. Toss again gently.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with extra herbs or olive oil.

Notes

Always taste as you go to adjust seasoning. Save a bit of pasta water to help with sauce consistency if needed.
