Description
Delicious sliders combining crispy bacon, juicy beef, and soft pretzel buns, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (chuck or sirloin)
- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 8 slices American cheese
- 1 batch pretzel dough (homemade or pre-packaged)
- Toppings: fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and sauces of your choice
Instructions
- Prepare pretzel dough: Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let rest for 5 minutes until frothy. Gradually add flour, salt, and melted butter to form a dough. Knead until smooth and let rise for 1 hour.
- Cook the bacon: Fry bacon in a skillet until crispy, drain on paper towels, and save drippings.
- Create the patties: Season ground beef with salt and pepper, form into small patties, and grill on high heat for 3-4 minutes per side. Add cheese in the last minute of cooking.
- Shape the dough: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C), punch down risen dough, divide into 12 pieces, roll into balls, and flatten for slider buns.
- Boil the pretzel buns: Boil water with baking soda, drop each dough piece for 30 seconds, then remove to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake: Brush buns with reserved bacon drippings, sprinkle with coarse sea salt, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble sliders: Cut buns in half and layer with burger patties, crispy bacon, and toppings.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Be generous with salt in the pretzel dough for enhanced flavor. Avoid overcooking the hamburger patties for juicy results.
