Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream softened butter, then add eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare buttercream by mixing softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until desired consistency is reached.
- Spread buttercream over cooled bars, add sprinkles if desired, and slice into squares.
