- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 Granny Smith apples (or Fuji/Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
- Sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add warm water and knead until smooth.
- Let It Rise: Cover and let the dough rise for 60 minutes until doubled in size.
- Make the Caramel Sauce: Combine sugar, butter, and cream in a pan over medium heat, stirring until thickened.
- Form the Bites: Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll small balls of dough, insert apple slice, and seal.
- Boil the Bites: Boil water, add baking soda, and cook bites for about 30 seconds each.
- Bake: Place on a greased baking sheet, brush with butter, sprinkle salt, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Drizzle with Caramel: Allow to cool slightly, drizzle with caramel, and enjoy!
