Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Dippers (tortilla chips, fresh veggies, baguette)
Instructions
- Sauté the Aromatics: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, onions, and garlic. Sauté until soft.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Increase heat, add ground beef until browned, and drain excess fat.
- Mix in the Creamy Base: Lower heat, stir in cream cheese and sour cream until blended.
- Add the Cheddar: Fold shredded cheddar cheese into the mixture until melted.
- Season to Taste: Season with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Serve Warm: Transfer to a bowl and garnish with green onions or parsley; serve with dippers.
Notes
Let cream cheese come to room temperature for a smoother blend. Don’t overcook the beef to avoid a dry dip.
