Description

Delightful chocolate-toffee-pecan bars with a buttery shortbread base, offering a perfect balance of crunch and sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Gradually add in the flour, mixing just until combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped pecans, chocolate chips, and toffee bits until evenly distributed.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before lifting out with parchment and cooling completely on a wire rack.
  8. Cut into desired squares or bars.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil for butter. These bars can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
