- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 jalapenos, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Chop jalapenos finely and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix cheddar cheese, cream cheese, jalapenos, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until combined.
- Form small balls from the mixture, about the size of a golf ball.
- Dredge each ball in panko breadcrumbs to coat.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the balls in batches for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider double-frying the balls. Ensure the oil is hot enough to prevent sogginess.
