Description

A delightful blend of sweet and savory, these Easy Candied Pecans evoke nostalgia while adding a crunchy, buttery treat to your gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup raw pecans
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Once melted, add in the sugar and stir until combined.
  3. Toss in the pecans and stir well, ensuring each nut gets coated with the buttery mixture.
  4. Continue stirring for about 5-7 minutes until the pecans turn golden brown, being careful not to burn them!
  5. Sprinkle in the vanilla and salt, stirring once more to blend.
  6. Immediately transfer the candied pecans onto a sheet of parchment paper to cool.
  7. Once cooled, break them apart if they’ve clumped together, and store them in an airtight container.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg when stirring in the sugar. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
