Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Peel, core, and slice apples into thin wedges. Toss with cinnamon and sugar.
  2. Make the Batter: In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add egg and milk, stir until combined.
  3. Heat the Oil: Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry the Fritters: Drop heaping tablespoons of batter mixed with apples into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Drain and Dust: Remove fritters and place on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar while warm.
