- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Optional toppings: Whipped cream, chocolate sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the peanut butter until you achieve a marbled effect.
- Gently stir in the chocolate chips, saving a few for topping.
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish, smoothing it into an even layer.
- Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow the cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing into it.
- Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or extra drizzle of peanut butter or chocolate sauce if desired.
Notes
For gluten-free version, use almond or coconut flour. Brown sugar can replace granulated sugar for a hint of caramel flavor.
