Description
Tender and sweet Honey Barbecue Chicken Bites that are perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Cut chicken into even bite-sized pieces.
- Make the Sauce: Whisk together honey, barbecue sauce, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Coat the Chicken: Toss the chicken pieces in the sauce until fully coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
- Cooking: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Cook the chicken bites in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- Sear and Glaze: Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing on remaining sauce.
- Finish and Serve: Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F before serving warm.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the pan to achieve a nice sear. Substitute tofu for a vegetarian option.
