Description
A heartwarming Honey Garlic Pork Chops Skillet recipe infused with sweet honey and robust garlic, perfect for family gatherings and weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season each side with salt and pepper.
- In a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil. Once shimmering, add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Remove chops and melt butter in the same skillet, then add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in honey and soy sauce, stirring well to combine, then return pork chops to skillet, spooning sauce over them. Simmer for a few more minutes to glaze.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with sides like rice or sautéed vegetables.
Notes
For added depth, consider a splash of vinegar or lemon juice to balance sweetness. Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet for perfect searing.
