Description

A delectable dish featuring pork chops seared and glazed in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, offering a perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in, center-cut pork chops
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the pork chops from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce, then set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and pour the honey garlic mixture over the pork chops.
  5. Baste the chops with the sauce and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (62.8°C).
  6. Transfer the pork chops to a plate and cover lightly with foil to rest for a few minutes.
  7. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the chops and sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Letting the pork rest after cooking ensures juiciness. Avoid overcooking the pork chops to maintain tenderness.
