  • 12 tbsp honey or sugar (to taste)
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, cumin or cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Rinse fresh cranberries thoroughly, and if using frozen, ensure they’ve defrosted. De-stem and chop jalapeños finely.
  2. Sauté the jalapeños: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add jalapeños, garlic, and onion. Sauté until onions turn translucent.
  3. Mix the base: In a bowl, beat cream cheese until creamy. Gradually add the sautéed mixture and cranberries, mixing until well combined.
  4. Season to taste: Add salt, pepper, and sweetener. Stir well to meld flavors. For extra spice, add cumin or cayenne pepper.
  5. Chill and serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight before serving.

Notes

For a milder dip, use pickled jalapeños or adjust the amount of jalapeños according to your spice tolerance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to five days.
