Description

A fiery dish with a tantalizing balance of heat and sweetness, infused with gochujang and aromatic flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
  • 3 tbsp gochujang
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Make the marinade: In a bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  3. Marinate: Coat the chicken in the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
  4. Cook the chicken: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Thicken the sauce: Allow the sauce to simmer until thickened, coating the chicken.
  6. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and enjoy hot.

Notes

For extra spice, sprinkle in crushed red pepper flakes. Serve with rice to soak up the sauce.
