Description

A simple yet flavorful dish featuring salmon fillets cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce with a zesty lemon finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 34 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or dill), chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon: Pat the fillets dry with a paper towel and score the skin lightly if needed.
  2. Make the garlic butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Sear the salmon: Place the fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  4. Flip and zest: Carefully flip the fillets, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle lemon juice and zest over them. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until done.
  5. Finish with herbs: Sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs just before serving.
  6. Serve: Plate immediately, spooning the buttery sauce over the salmon.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, consider grilling the salmon instead. Let it rest for a couple of minutes after cooking to keep it juicy.
