Description
A simple yet flavorful dish featuring salmon fillets cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce with a zesty lemon finish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3–4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- Fresh herbs (parsley or dill), chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon: Pat the fillets dry with a paper towel and score the skin lightly if needed.
- Make the garlic butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic until fragrant.
- Sear the salmon: Place the fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
- Flip and zest: Carefully flip the fillets, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle lemon juice and zest over them. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until done.
- Finish with herbs: Sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs just before serving.
- Serve: Plate immediately, spooning the buttery sauce over the salmon.
Notes
For a smoky flavor, consider grilling the salmon instead. Let it rest for a couple of minutes after cooking to keep it juicy.
