  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and chai spices until well combined.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in the orange zest, followed by the cream and orange juice. Mix just until combined but don’t overwork the dough.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape it into a round disk about 1 inch thick. Cut into wedges or use a biscuit cutter for round scones.
