- 1 wheel of Brie cheese
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup chopped pistachios
- Fresh rosemary or thyme (a few sprigs)
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry to about a quarter inch thick on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the brie cheese evenly across the puff pastry, leaving an inch around the edges.
- Drizzle dried cranberries and sprinkle chopped pistachios on top. Add fresh herbs if using.
- Fold the pastry over the filling, sealing it and shaping it into a conical tree shape.
- Cut small, shallow slits in the pastry to create branches.
- Brush the surface with egg wash if using.
- Bake for about 20–25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly, garnish with fresh herbs or nuts, and serve warm.
Notes
Make sure not to overfill the pastry to prevent leaks while baking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
