Ingredients

- 8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz dark or semisweet chocolate, for dipping
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese, pumpkin puree, powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about an hour.
- Shape the chilled mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Chill again for 30 minutes to maintain shape.
- Melt chocolate gently until smooth using a double boiler or microwave.
- Dip each truffle in melted chocolate and place back on parchment paper.
- Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature or refrigerate.
- Serve in festive cases or on a platter.
Notes
For lighter truffles, substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt or use maple syrup instead of powdered sugar.
