Description

A light and creamy pumpkin mousse that evokes the warmth of autumn and cherished family memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pumpkin Puree: If using fresh pumpkin, cut in half, scoop out the seeds, and roast at 350°F (175°C) until tender. Once cool, blend until smooth.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a large bowl, whisk the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.
  3. Mix the Base: In another bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until pale and thick. Stir in the pumpkin puree, spices, and vanilla.
  4. Combine: Gently fold the whipped cream into the pumpkin mixture.
  5. Chill: Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least two hours.
  6. Serve: Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or toasted pumpkin seeds.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with Greek yogurt. If you’re looking for a chocolate twist, add melted dark chocolate.
