Description

A warm and inviting dish featuring tender salmon fillets topped with toasted sesame seeds, delivering a delightful crunch and nutty flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Salmon Fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds (black and white)
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce or Tamari
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Green Onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients: Rinse the salmon under cold water, pat it dry, and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Toast the Sesame Seeds: In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds for 2-3 minutes until golden. Transfer to a bowl to cool.
  3. Cook the Salmon: Add a splash of olive or sesame oil to the skillet and heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add Garlic and Seasoning: Flip the salmon and add minced garlic, sautéing for a minute. Drizzle soy sauce or tamari over the salmon.
  5. Finish Cooking: Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Squeeze lemon juice over before serving, and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Plate the salmon with desired sides and garnish with green onions or more sesame seeds.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce. Pair with seasonal vegetables for added nutrition.
