Description
These cookies combine buttery goodness, gooey chocolate, and rich salted caramel for a nostalgic and comforting treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup salted caramel (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and drizzle in salted caramel, creating swirls.
- Drop mounds of dough onto baking sheets, leaving space between for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For best results, avoid over-baking and consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
